Picture your dream beach. Does it have lots of people on it or is it deserted?
Mine is deserted. I am happiest far from the madding crowd. My idea of heaven is camping by a lake in beautiful high mountains. I might get there on foot or by horseback.
I have travelled extensively in the last 30 years, visiting nearly 100 countries, some of which no longer exist. Australia and USA are my favourites for the extent of their unspoiled wild country. However, i also enjoy eating out, rambling round ruins and cities, so expect a little of that too..
I do have a husband, Simon, whom i met 20 years ago in Australia, at Heartbreak Hotel in the Northern Territory – now that would have been a good story if there were any blogs in those days.
We live on the Isle of Man, a little corner of the British Isles. We have cats and horses so are not full time travellers, though i hope we do enough to keep you amused. Horses are almost entirely manual labour, so starting a blog is a little about mental stimulation and exercise. I hope some of the information will be useful. I also enjoy writing so here goes..
